Following the sad news of the death of the Duke of Edinburgh, the Town Mayor, Cllr. Jill Farrow, has paid tribute to his role in national life. Should you be aware of people who are not able to express their condolences online but would wish to do so, please advise them that they can drop these in the letter box at the Guildhall and Council staff will do this on their behalf. Axminster Town Council would like to express its deepest condolences to Her Majesty the Queen on the death of His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness's service to this country, from joining the Royal Navy in 1940 and throughout his life providing loyal support to Her Majesty, has been an example to us all. We wish Her Majesty and her family peace and comfort as they mourn his sad loss.
