Launch of new Junior Parkrun

On Sunday 26th of September, the Town Mayor, Cllr Jill Farrow, attended Axminster Town FC for the very first Stopline Way Junior Parkrun. Cllr Farrow was joined by Devon County Councillor, Ian Hall, Parkrun volunteers and organizers as well as 17 junior runners.
At the event, Cllr Hall spoke about how lucky Axminster is to have so much space dedicated to sport. This sentiment was shared by all those present.
Both Axminster Town Council and Devon County Council have provided funding toward the Stopline Way Junior Parkrun project. It is hoped that more children will join the Junior Parkrun over time which will meet at
Axminster Town FC every Sunday morning at 9:00.
