Corporal Jack Bray
Published: 27 July 2023
It is with great sadness that we wish to share the news of the untimely and tragic death of Corporal Jack Timothy Bray.
Jack and his close family made Axminster their home, and our thoughts are with his partner Kasey and three young children at this time.
Jack joined the army in 2011, completing training at Pirbright then Middle Wallop before being posted to 1 Regiment Army Air Corps.
Originally based in Germany, Jack moved with his unit to RNAS Yeovilton in 2013.
Jack deployed regularly across the UK and abroad, from the United States to Oman and Estonia.
He was an enthusiastic rugby player, enjoyed wakeboarding and had a passion for motorbikes.
Jack’s military funeral will be held at The Minster, Axminster on Friday 4th August at 12.30pm.
It will include a Guard of Honour and Gun Salute outside the church and may also involve a Military Fly Past over Axminster.
The cortege leaving the church will be joined by a procession of motorbikes.
On the day of the funeral the town centre may see some disruption due to the scale and nature of the event.
Whilst this will be managed to minimise any inconvenience it is hoped that everyone will understand the desire to support Jack’s family, friends and military colleagues on this difficult day.
