Public Rights Of Way are the statutory responsibility of Devon County Council.
Axminster parish area has approximately 37.8km of Public Rights Of Way (PROW), which comprises footpaths, cycle routes and bridleways.
You can find all of the following information on the Public Rights Of Way page on the Devon County Council website:
- An interactive map of all footpaths and PROW across Devon
- The different types of PROW and what they can be used for.
- How to report a blocked, obstructed, damaged or unsafe PROW.
- Information for landowners who have a PROW running through their land.
Axminster Town Council has subscribed to the County Council Parish Paths Partnership Scheme, also known as P3. As a participant in this scheme, Axminster Town Council assists Devon County Council with the inspection and some of the maintenance for the footpaths, bridleways, and cycle routes across our parish area.
If you are a keen walker with an eye for detail, and you would like to volunteer to help us keep our public rights of way accessible and in good order, we would like to hear from you! Please email us at enquiries@axminstertowncouncil.gov.uk.
